Where to Start
To get started on this year's Archives Crawl, begin at ANY of the four host locations: the California State Archives (1020 'O' Street), California State Library (900 'N' Street), Center for Sacramento History (551 Sequoia Pacific Blvd.), or the Sacramento Room at the Central Library (828 'I' Street). You will be given a passport at the first location you visit, which will provide a map to the others. Each host location will stamp your passport when you arrive. Free parking is available at the California State Archives and the Center for Sacramento History.

Hello Amanda,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the blog and info. If I am curious about the women's suffrage movement in California in 1911. Where do you suggest I start in the Archives Crawl?
Thanks,
Heather
Heather - more than one host location will have items celebrating the centennial of women's suffrage on display. You might start at the Center for Sacramento History or the State Archives.
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info. You note that free parking is available at the California State Archives - will it be clear where that parking is when we arrive, or is it at a garage nearby?
Thanks,
SM
SM - the free parking at the State Archives is in the lot located directly across the street at 10th and O. There are signs at the entrance to the lot.
